Delhi HC issues to notice UIDAI in a PIL to link property documents to Aadhaar

NEW DELHI : Delhi High Court on Tuesday has issued a notice to Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in a public interest litigation (PIL) which sought a direction to the Centre and the Delhi government to link movable and immovable property documents of citizens with their Aadhaar number to curb corruption, black money generation and benami transaction.

The next date of hearing is on 20 November.

The court has also asked the Central Government and the Delhi government to file their response, which they had not despite issuance of notice to them on the last date of hearing.
