Delay in 4G, 5G services launch costs BSNL dearly: CMD

NEW DELHI: The state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will launch its commercial 4G services in the country by June 2024, said BSNL chairman and managing director (CMD) PK Purwar.

Purwar also said that the company will be able to stop losing its subscribers only after launching commercial 4G services in the country. He said the 4G launch will happen once BSNL has 20,000 BTS (Base Transceiver Stations) in the country.
