Defunct landline service at Karan Nagar irks subscribers

Srinagar, Sep 18: Defunct landline service for past over a month at Karan Nagar area has irked subscribers.

A delegation of locals and traders said that despite complaining multiple times, the concerned officials are not paying heed to the issue.

“Hundreds of households in the area are dependent on landlines. There are traders also who rely on the service but BSNL officials are paying no attention to the issue,” said Altaf Ahmed, a local.

The locals said that broadband service has also been affected due to the issue. “Most of the work like education and other business related work is depended on the internet.
