‘Dedicated software for updating electoral data soon’

Minister of Gurdwara Elections Rajendra Pal Gautam on Sunday said that the Information Technology Department will develop dedicated software for the preparation and customization of new photo electoral rolls of Gurdwara wards in the capital for upcoming Gurdwara Elections, 2021.

A Delhi government official said, “For this, the Directorate of Gurdwara Elections has requested the Information Technology Department.”

“Directorate of Gurdwara Elections has also requested the Office of Chief Electoral Officer, to help in matching and verifying the data of electoral rolls of Gurdwara wards with the data of state electoral rolls. This cross-checking will ensure transparency in the preparation of photo electoral rolls for the elections of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. To expedite the process, the Directorate of Gurdwara Elections will extend the manpower support to the Office of Chief Electoral Officer.”
