Cyclone Biparjoy: Tower cos seek Gujarat government support to ensure uninterrupted connectivity

NEW DELHI: Tower infrastructure providers have written to Gujarat chief secretary, Raj Kumar, seeking the state government’s support to ensure unhindered telecom connectivity during cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ which is expected to impact Kutch, Devbhumi, Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Junagarh and Morbi districts.

“In order to contain the effect of this situation on telecom services, DIPA (Digital Infrastructure Providers Association) seeks Gujarat government’s urgent support and intervention to ensure the availability of telecom connectivity on 24×7 basis to meet the urgent disaster situation,” the Delhi-based association said in a statement Tuesday.
