Cyber police Kashmir comes to the aid of two residents, saves them Rs two lakh
Cyber Police, Kashmir has saved two persons from being duped of Rs 2 lakh by the fraudsters, an official said today.
In a statement, a spokesman of the cyber cell said that they received a complaint from an elderly shopkeeper hailing from south Kashmir’s Tral.
“He had received a call from fraudsters posing as staff of the Jammu & Kashmir Bank Headquarters. The caller told him that his ATM card is going to be blocked and in order to renew the same he was asked to provide the card details,” the statement read.
“The complainant who is illiterate took the help of his minor granddaughter and did not mind to share the OTP which he had received shortly.
