Cyber forensic lab inaugurated in Kurnool

Director General of Police R. P. Thakur inaugurated a Regional Cyber Forensic Lab here on Friday.

The Rs. 2.5 crore lab, set up as part of modernisation of police infrastructure, would be used to investigate financial crimes, ATM thefts, e-mail and other cyber crimes.

There are six sections in the lab – call data recording/internet protocol recording, social media, video analysis, disc forensic, mobile forensic and network forensic.
