Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), a group representing digital businesses in India, in a report, has asked for production linked incentive (PLI) of 5 per cent for both chargers and PCB assembly (PCBA). The report argues that with 2 per cent incentive of Merchandise Export from India Scheme (MEIS) for chargers, 8 pc value addition has been achieved, but with 5 pc incentive under PLI, the value addition will jump to 45 per cent.
