Cryptobiz owner arrested for duping investors of Rs 2.93 crore

The Pune City police has arrested the owner of Cryptobiz company along with his aide for allegedly cheating several investors across India to the tune of Rs 2.93 crore.

Along with his aide Omkar Deepak Sonawane (25) of Kondhwa, the accused Rahul Vijaybhai Rathod (35) of Hinjewadi owner of Cryptobiz has been arrested.

Ravi Shankar Patil (32), a resident of Sangli, has lodged the first information report (FIR) in connection with this case at the cyber police station.

As per a press release, the accused had lured the complainant Patil into investing money in a ‘staking programme’ of Cryptobiz exchange, assuring big returns.
