Critical AGR hearing in SC today, crunch time for Vodafone Idea

Mumbai: The Supreme Court is likely to hear the case over adjusted gross revenue (AGR) of telecom operators on Thursday. The matters before the court include the government’s application that companies be allowed to spread the payment of their AGR-based licence fee and spectrum usage charge dues over a period of up to 20 years.

A bench of Justices Arun Mishra, S Abdul Nazeer and MR Shah is expected to hear the matter, the Supreme Court’s causelist showed Wednesday. The list though put the AGR listing as tentative.
