CoWin portal unhackable, reports stating otherwise incorrect: Govt

The Centre on Saturday came down heavily on the reports of its Covid-19 vaccination portal CoWin is allowing unscrupulous elements to hack the system to benefit few sections of the population.

“There’ve been some unfounded media reports of the CoWIN platform creating a digital divide and allowing unscrupulous elements to hack the system to benefit few sections of population. Reports are incorrect and not supported by full information on the matter,” the Union health ministry stated.

Dr. R.S. Sharma, Chairman, Empowered Group on Technology and Data Management to combat COVID-19 debunked these misinformation and set the record straight.
