Corporate tax relief: Karbonn phone maker Jaina Group expects industry to achieve double-digit growth

NEW DELHI: Jaina Group, the maker of Karbonn smartphones and mobile accessories said that the reduction in corporate tax rate will help the Indian mobile handset industry to achieve double-digit year-on-year growth in smartphones.

“The move would result in an evener dispersion of market share amongst various players, which, in the long run, always proves to be a pro-consumer scenario,” Shashin Devsare, Executive Director, Jaina Group, told ET.

“More importantly, as a domestic player the reduction in corporate tax rate helps us to reinforce our commitment to not only “Make In India” but “Made For India” mobile devices,” he added.
