Coronavirus scare: India postpones summit on AI to October

NEW DELHI: Worried about the rising number of cases of Covid-19, the Indian government RAISE–Responsible AI for Social Empowerment) 2020 summit on AI (Artificial Intelligence)–to 5-6 October.

Previously scheduled in April, the summit was to slated to be attended by academics, AI startups and big tech firm such as Intel, Microsoft and AWS. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was supposed to inaugurate the event.

“The registrations are open for all participants and the process will remain the same as before. All AI startups are welcome to participate through the same procedure for the Startup Pitchfest.
