Coronavirus: MSME sector, ICT traders seek stimulus package, deferment of tax returns filing
NEW DELHI: The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi government to provide fiscal relief package and defer the statutory compliance in the wake of Coronavirus or Covid-19 epidemic outbreak.
“The resolution urged the government to provide fiscal, financial & taxation stimulus to both trade and small industry,” the trade group in a statement said.
“We urged the government for close coordination with trade and small industries, and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) should provide a monetary stimulus, while the Centre and state government should provide fiscal stimulus and recapitalisation of banks through the strengthening of non-banking finance companies and microfinance institutions,” CAIT national president BC Bhartia said.
