Corning launches Gorilla Glass DX, DX+ for mobile phone camera lens; Samsung first brand to incorporate

NEW DELHI: Corning Incorporated Thursday expanded its composite glass products portfolio with the launch of Corning Gorillas Glass with DX and Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+, aimed at mobile device cameras, and said that Samsung will be the first brand to adopt Gorilla Glass DX products for camera lens covers.

Since 2010, the number of photos taken globally has increased from 350 billion to a projected 1.4 trillion per year. And, mobile camera technology is regularly cited as one of the most important factors in consumers’ purchasing decisions.
