Corning India appoints Sudhir Pillai as new managing director

NEW DELHI: Corning Incorporated Tuesday said it has appointed Sudhir Pillai to the role of managing director for Corning India.

Pillai replaces erstwhile MD Amit Bansal, who has decided to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities after spending more than a decade with the company, as per Corning India.

Pillai will spearhead the company’s growth and operations in India and neighboring countries and will additionally oversee Corning’s optical fiber manufacturing operations in Pune, India.
