Comviva partners with GSMA’s Open Gateway to standardise 5G APIs

NEW DELHI: Comviva, a provider of operations support systems (OSS) and business support systems (BSS), said it is contributing to the development of application programming interfaces (APIs) driven by 5G which is likely to help telecom operators monetise their fifth-generation networks.

“There is an initiative by GSMA called the Open Gateway, and the CAMARA project is an integral part of that. We are trying to standardise the 5G APIs that are easy to consume for enterprises and aggregators. What it will enable are some of the use cases such as SIM swap, silent authentication, and quality on demand,” Deshbandhu Bansal, COO – Messaging Solutions, Comviva, told ETTelecom in an interview.
