Cognizant, Qualcomm team up to open 5G experience center in North America

NEW DELHI: IT services firm Cognizant is expanding its collaboration with chipmaker Qualcomm to open a 5G experience center in Atlanta, the first such center in North America which will focus on use cases in manufacturing and supply chain management.

For the manufacturing industry, the companies in a joint statement said 5G-connected cameras with video analytics leveraging multi-access edge computing (MEC) can improve anomaly detection, leading to faster resolution, and lesser downtimes.
