CM Jagan launches 4G internet services in remote areas of AP

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday virtually launched 4G internet services in remote locations of the state. The Chief Minister launched the operation of 100 Reliance Jio towers from his camp office and thanked Union Telecommunications Department, BSNL, Reliance Jio and Airtel for extending their services to these remote corners of the southern state.

“It would help all households in remote areas get internet connectivity… 209 remote corner villages would receive 4G services,” said Reddy in an official release. Reliance Jio has set up 85 towers in Alluri Sitaramaraju district, Parvatipuram Manyam (10 towers), Annamayya (3 towers) and YSR Kadapa (2 towers), all of which would be upgraded with 5G capabilities soon.
