CM asks Pichai to include U’khand in Google’s investment plans
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has requested the Google (Alphabet) chief executive officer Sundar Pichai to invest in the information technology sector in Uttarakhand.
In a letter written to Pichai, the CM has stated that the need for working on an alternate model of development is being felt due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There are considerable possibilities in the IT sector in smaller cities. Rawat requested the Alphabet CEO to include Uttarakhand in Google’s plans to invest in India, adding that the State Government is eager to provide all cooperation required.
The CM also directed the chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh and additional chief secretary Manisha Panwar to establish coordination with the company management in this regard.
