Cisco developing Webex collaboration app for Audi vehicles: How will it work

US-based telecom gear maker Cisco is set to deliver the Webex collaboration app in select Audi models that will be manufactured in 2024. To develop this app, Cisco has partnered with Volkswagen Group’s software company CARIAD and Samsung subsidiary Harman. In a statement (seen by Reuters), the telecom company said: “As hybrid work continues to evolve, the modern work environment is no longer confined to a single space or device. People increasingly demand flexible, frictionless ways to get work done on their own terms.”

The Webex app will be available through the in-vehicle Audi App Store. The in-car App Store is developed by CARIAD and Harman. Currently, the platform is designed for select Audi vehicles and more Volkswagen Group brands are expected to adopt it at a later time.
