Cinema hall operators to promote online ticket booking

Following state government permission to operate cinema halls in full occupancy, the cinema halls operators of Dehradun have decided to promote the online booking of tickets to minimise the risk of spread of Covid-19 contagion among staff and the audience.

Talking about the operation of cinema halls with full occupancy, the operators said that the filmmakers were reluctant to release their movies in big screens with only 50 percent occupancy but now since the government has allowed full occupancy, new movies will be released in an increased regularity. “The public arrives in cinema halls when new movies are released by filmmakers. The public is waiting for movies and when the new movies will be released regularly, people will return back to cinema halls,” said the manager of PVR Cinemas in Dehradun, Manoj Bisht.
