CIC permits appellants to use mobile devices

To facilitate appellants and to ensure speedy hearing of cases, the State Information Commission, Chhattisgarh, on Wednesday permitted that cases can be heard virtually through mobile devices.

The State Information Commission has launched an initiative enabling the appellants to engage in the hearings of their second appeal using mobile devices, an official communication said.

It has facilitated the appellants to conveniently participate in the proceedings from any location or home, leveraging video conferencing technology via their mobile phones.

On Wednesday, on a trial basis, the hearing of several persons was conducted by State Information Commissioners Manoj Trivedi and Dhanvendra Jaiswal.
