Chromebooks with Kompanio 520, 528 chipsets to launch in 1H23: MediaTek

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese fabless chipmaker MediaTek on Friday launched new Kompanio chipsets – the Kompanio 520 and Kompanio 528 – for Chromebooks with improvements in energy efficiency and artificial intelligence (AI)-backed enhancements for applications and camera.

MediaTek said Chromebooks powered by these Kompanio chipsets will launch in the first half (H1) of next year.

Both Kompanio 520 and Kompnaio 528 integrate two Arm Cortex-A76 cores within an octa-core CPU configuration, as well as, the Arm Mali G52 MC2 GPU.
