Chinese companies out of telecom sector event

NEW DELHI: China may be the biggest supplier to the Indian electronics ecosystem, but top companies from the neighbouring nation will be absent from the India Mobile Congress (IMC). The country’s premier telecom event, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, begins from October 27.

The seventh edition of IMC will see bigwigs from the domestic telecom industry such as Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, Bharti Airtel chairman Sunil Mittal, and Kumar Mangalam Birla of Vodafone Idea, apart from senior officials from TCS, Ramakrishna P, CEO of IMC, said.
