China, India drive Realme’s growth in global smartphone market in Q2 2021: Strategy Analytics

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Realme recently became the fastest-growing brand to reach 100 million shipments worldwide during June 2021, a milestone it achieved in 37 months since its launch, driven by China and India, according to a report by market research firm Strategy Analytics.

“Realme is the fastest brand ever to ship 100 million smartphones cumulatively worldwide… That is faster than Apple, Samsung, Nokia, Huawei, Xiaomi, or any other major smartphone brand of the past quarter-century,” said Neil Mawston, Executive Director at Strategy Analytics.

As per analysts, Realme’s global smartphone growth has been driven by its strong performance in China and India.
