ChatGPT effect? Sundar Pichai hints at big things in AI from Google
Artificial intelligence research startup OpenAI’s popular chatbot ChatGPT has gone viral since its debut. Internet users have not only created a major buzz around the latest AI chatbot but have also termed it as ‘Google killer’. Earlier, the Alphabet-owned tech giant shared its plans to introduce a ChatGPT rival ‘soon’. According to a new report by Bloomberg, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has confirmed that the company will make artificial intelligence-based large language models like LaMDA will soon be made available to the general public.
As per the report, Google’s ChatGPT rival is expected to launch “in the coming weeks and months.” During a conference call following Google’s Q4 earnings report, Pichai stated that users will soon be able to use language models “as a companion to search, the report adds. Currently, the company is at the beginning of its AI journey and “the best is yet to come,” he added.
