CAIT reaches out to MPs to push for e-commerce policy

Chhattisgarh unit of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Wednesday gave representations to Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members from the state as part of the confederation’s nationwide agitation against e-commerce companies Amazon and Flipkart.

They want the parliamentarians to raise in parliament, what they called unethical business practice of the e-commerce companies.

A delegation led by CAIT national vice president Amar Parwani handed over the representation to Raipur MP Sunil Soni and briefed him as to how e-commerce companies are allegedly deriving benefits of FDI policy.

The different delegations reached out to other Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs.

Sunil Soni assured the delegation that he would take up the issue with Union minister at the Winter session of parliament, which will commence from November 18. The session will be held till December 13.
