Budget 2023: Experts laud government’s focus on emerging technologies

Experts lauded the government’s focus on new emerging technologies in the Budget 2023 which included the launch of three centers of excellence for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in top educational institutions, skilling in areas such as machine learning and robotics, and the launch of the national data governance framework.

“Leading industry players will partner in conducting interdisciplinary research, develop cutting-edge applications and scalable problem solutions in the areas of agriculture, health, and sustainable cities. This will galvanise an effective AI ecosystem and nurture quality human resources in the field,” said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during her Union Budget 2023-24 speech on Wednesday.
