BSNL’s pan-India 4G rollout in 18-24 months: TCS
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a part of Tata group, is focussing on to develop tested and proven homegrown next generation telecom technology, and following the satisfactory outcome of the fourth generation or 4G proof-of-concept, is working with state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on network planning, technical and commercial aspects. In an interaction with ETTelecom’s Muntazir Abbas, N Ganapathy Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Director, TCS spoke on the acquisition of Tejas Networks, commercial 4G deployment, 5G scalability, and dependencies on chips and component supplies.
