BSNL services affected

As a result of the nation-wide three-day strike by BSNL employees and officers, a host of services were affected here on Wednesday.

The striking employees staged a demonstration in front of the BSNL office, led by Murugaperumal, district president of All India Unions and Associations of BSNL.

Around 350 employees participated in the strike, pressing for their demands which included allocation of 4G spectrum to BSNL, implementation of benefits to executives under the third pay revision committee with 15% fitment, and to non-executives as per the eighth wage negotiations from January 1, 2017, revision of pension and approval of land management policy of the BSNL.
