BSNL-Nokia to launch first smart pole on March 21

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia is likely to launch its first smart pole deployed at the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) premise on March 21, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Nokia’s smart pole initiative is a part of its intelligent infrastructure transformation program.

The new smart pole opportunity would allow the state-controlled service provider to showcase its capabilities for future smart cities.
