BSNL & MTNL Revival

Facing an uphill task of tackling Rs 60,000 crore liabilities of the two state owned telecom operating companies, the government appears to be in a fix. Amidst uncertainty of revival, which is into unending loop of discussions at the top levels in the government, what is certain about is that the staff of the two PSUs will not get their salaries in-time.

In the case of MTNL, the salaries have been delayed since January 2019, and there was no respite even when the General Elections 2019 were underway even though the government had told MTNL to take loan for paying salary during the election season.
