BSNL launches its first Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Uttarakhand

DEHRADUN: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) launched its first Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Uttarakhand at Cross Road CSC on Tuesday. The state-owned telecom company now aims to open 34 such centres across the state which will provide free Aadhaar services to the residents of Uttarakhand.

Services like Aadhaar enrolment and mandatory biometrics update at the age of 5 and 15 will be provided free of cost at BSNL centres, said HK Verma, CGMT Uttarakhand Circle. Updates on demography, which include address, mobile number, name, gender, date of birth and email, can also be done at the centre at the cost of Rs 50 per update. Similarly, any biometric update like photograph, finger prints will also cost Rs 50 per update.
