BSNL issues purchase order to TCS, ITI for 1 lakh 4G sites: Report

NEW DELHI: State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has issued a purchase order (PO) to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and ITI Limited for 1 lakh 4G sites, CNBC Awaaz reported.

In May, BSNL issued an advance purchase order or APO of over Rs 19,000 crores to the two companies. Of the total sites, 20% will be deployed by state-run ITI Limited.

The Group of Ministers (GoM) on May 8 had approved the deployment of 1 lakh sites for the rollout of the BSNL’s 4G network by the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)-led consortium, ETTelecom reported.
