BSNL holds GMs meet, launches special offers

National Telecom company BSNL’s Jharkhand Circle head CGMT KK Thakur today chaired an important meeting with all telecom district GMs and franchisee here on November 19. In the meeting challenges before the telecom sector and issues connected with the BSNL were discussed in detail. Notably, BSNL is offering VRS to its 80,000 employees and disburdening itself financially. This will not affect the services offered by the company and the savings will be used to strengthen the services, said officials. It should be noted that Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has called the BSNL as important asset of government of India and has refuted the rumours of its closure.
