BSNL continues with unchanged call, data rates

Government owned telecommunication giant Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited today said that despite call rates hike by telecommunication companies, BSNL has kept all its data and call rates unchanged.

Holding a press conference here on Wednesday, CGMT, Jharkhand Circle, KK Thakur said that at one hand telecommunication companies have raised their call and data rates upto 40 per cent, BSNL has not raised its rates because it works with the intention of service.

He said that one private operator has even started charging 6 paise per minute for outgoing calls, but BSNL does not charge anything like that. Under BSNL’s special offer free SIM cards are being provided till March 31, 2020. All consumers of GP2, whose validity has expired, can get their numbers restarted by doing a free recharge of Rs 5. Those consumers, who want to restart their old numbers can avail the offer, he said.
