BSNL CMD: Staff wages ahead of Diwali, revival likely in a month

NEW DELHI: Stressed telecom carrier Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Monday said that the telco is expecting the Centre to approve the ambitious revival plan within a month and it would be able to pay staff salaries before Diwali.

“I expect revival plan within a month,” BSNL chairman Pravin Kumar Purwar said, and added, “As far as salary part is concerned, every single employee’s salary will be paid before Diwali.

Diwali is India’s biggest festival falling on November 27.
