BSNL Bareilly office prepares list of 269 staffers for VRS
BAREILLY: With the voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) likely to be notified on Monday, the Bareilly office here has prepared a list of as many as 269 aging employees who are 50-plus. The list has been prepared following instructions from the headquarters.
Principal general manager Charan Singh said at present, 368 employees and officers are posted in different departments of BSNL. Notably, the cash-strapped public sector undertaking has set a target of offering voluntarily retirement to 80,000 employees across the country as 70% of BSNL’s revenue alone is spent on their salary.
