Brazil minister to visit 5G equipment makers in Europe and Asia

BRASILIA: Brazil Communications Minister Fabio Faria said he will visit producers of equipment for fifth-generation (5G) wireless networks at their facilities in Sweden, Finland, Japan, China and South Korea on a trip he will begin on Tuesday.

At an event in Brasilia, Faria discussed plans for a dedicated 5G network serving the federal government, first reported by Reuters on Friday, which he said could be run by state provider Telebras.
