Blinkit quarterly contribution margin turns positive first time ever

Blinkit, the quick commerce arm of food delivery major Zomato, on Friday reported a positive contribution margin for the first time ever, even as the parent firm remained profitable for the second straight quarter.

Contribution margin as a percentage of gross order value (GOV) was at 1.3% in the latest quarter, against -7.3% in the corresponding quarter a year earlier, with quarterly contribution at Rs 36 crore.
