Bigbasket, Flipkart & Urban Company have minimum wage policy

BENGALURU: Bigbasket, Flipkart and Urban Company have a put in place a minimum wage policy to ensure their workers earn the hourly local minimum wage after factoring in work-related costs, showed the fifth edition of Fairwork India Ratings 2023. The three platforms, for the second year in a row, have met the minimum wage policy criteria.

Urban Company, for instance, has committed to onboarding an external auditor before October 31 to conduct audits of its payment calculation and reimbursements to bridge the gap, if any, in the monthly earning guarantee programme.

It also plans to change itsrating system by removing unjustifiably low ratings and removing feedback from habitual low raters.
