The US House of Representatives on Thursday passed a bill that will provide a path to citizenship for children of H-1B and E3 visa holders. The American Dream and Promise Act will provide a pathway to citizenship to immigrants who arrived in the US before January 21, 2021—both legally and illegally—who were under 18 at that time and meet a certain criteria. The legislation is likely to benefit nearly 2.5 million people.
