Bharti Infratel defers June 11 board meeting on Indus merger ahead of SC hearing on AGR
Kolkata: Bharti Infratel has deferred its June 11 board meeting that was scheduled to take a final call on its big-ticket merger with Indus Towers, to a later date, citing lack of critical key inputs in the current business environment.
“The board meeting has been rescheduled for a later date but definitely on or before the current long stop date of June 24 (as) certain inputs required by the board for it to deliberate and take a final decision on the scheme of arrangement between Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel have been delayed given the current environment,” Bharti Airtel’s tower arm said in an exchange filing Thursday.
Bharti Infratel shares were down 2.12% at Rs 228 in Thursday morning trade on BSE.
