Bharti-backed OneWeb appoints former Airtel exec Srikanth Balakrishnan as CFO

NEW DELHI: Bharti-backed OneWeb on Friday said it has appointed former Airtel executive Srikanth Balakrishnan as its Chief Financial Officer.

Srikanth joins from Bharti Global where he served as CFO since October 2018 and prior to that, was CFO of Bharti Airtel for seven years.

During his stint, Airtel engaged in M&As aggressively, grew customer base five times to emerge as the world’s third-largest telco, and expanded operations to 18 countries.
