Bharti Airtel’s regulatory head Ravi Gandhi quits
Bharti Airtel’s chief regulatory officer Ravi Gandhi has resigned from his position, a person aware of the matter said requesting anonymity.
Gandhi’s plan to exit comes at a time when Bharti Airtel and other telcos are emerging from an adverse court verdict which mandates the companies to pay dues totalling over ₹1 trillion.
An email query sent to the company seeking details of his exit was not immediately answered.
The 24 October court order that ended the 14-year legal battle between telcos and the DoT asked India’s top wireless carriers to cough up more than ₹1 trillion in dues, straining their already precarious financial situation.
