Bharti Airtel’s margins to rise 45% in 2021 driven by ARPU growth: Moody’s
NEW DELHI: India’s second-largest telco Bharti Airtel’s margins are likely to rise to 45% in 2021 for the 12 months through September 2020, driven by rising average revenue per user (ARPU) and a higher proportion of subscribers, credit rating agency Moody’s Thursday said. “Bharti Airtel will deliver on the back of improving profitability in the Indian mobile sector.”
The Sunil Mittal-led telco added 13.9 million users–the highest in three quarters while its ARPU rose to a three-year high of Rs 162 from Rs 157 in April-June as its subscribers migrated to higher-paying plans, according to the New York-based firm.
