Bharti Airtel upgrades mobile network in Tamil Nadu

Telecom major Bharti Airtel NSE 0.57 % on Monday said it has upgraded the mobile network in Tamil Nadu aimed at providing best network experience to its customers. In a statement, Airtel said it has deployed an additional 5Mhz spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band along with advance network software tools across its network in the state to bolster high speed data capacity.

The deployment will strengthen the network for Airtel customers across the state including offering wider coverage along highways and rail routes as well as increase footprint in villages, the company said.
