Bharti Airtel stock surges 10% as India business shows robust growth in FY4Q

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel stock jumped 10% in early trade as the telco’s India business showed robust growth, with average revenue per user growing 14% on quarter, driving revenue growth.

The company’s stock was trading at 8.73% premium at Rs 585.15 per piece at BSE even as Sensex was up only 1.39%.

Though the telco’s loss for the fourth quarter last fiscal widened by more than four times to Rs 5237 crore on sequential basis, it was on account of one time spectrum charges to the tune on Rs 5642 crore and other regulatory levies.
