Bharti Airtel Q4 results preview: Losses likely to narrow YoY; all eyes on tariff hike impact, Africa biz
NEW DELHI: Bharti AirtelNSE -1.84 % is expected to report losses to the tune of Rs 400 crore in March quarter earnings due later on Monday. The impact of December quarter tariff hikes could not be fully seen in fourth quarter numbers due to the ongoing country-wide lockdown.
Analysts said investors would want to see the impact of tariff hikes on average revenue per user (Arpu) and what the company says about the Covid-19 hit in coming quarters. Any commentary on Africa business will also be keenly followed.
Motilal Oswal Securities expects the telecom operator to reported a of Rs 400 crore loss compared with Rs 1,200 crore reported for the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter is projected to rise 12.9 per cent YoY to Rs 23,300 crore from Rs 20,600 crore. Dolat Capital sees losses at Rs 296.60 crore and sales at Rs 22,959 crore. Ebitda margin is seen improving to 43 per cent, up 1,077 basis points.
